DescriptionWhere once there was the Governor now there lies the Commander 118.
There may be Govy blood in its veins but it’s a whole new beast entirely. It’s damper, it’s stiffer and it shows. With two sheets of metal and a 30m plus turning radius, this is not for the faint of heart. For those who don’t so much ski the mountain, as they do assault it, this ski must be fed a strict diet of crud, chop and anything else that may find itself in your way. Puckered straight lines and sketchy run outs galore. Feed the beast.

Rocker at the tip, camber underfoot, and a slight bit of tail rise gives the ski a directional feel while maintaining the ability to slash and slide.

The largest ski Moment makes with Titanal. You wanna crush everything at 80mph? Put up or shut up.
After half a season of use, these are my new all-time favorite sticks. They'll ride you if you don't ride them, but if you ski aggressively and stay on top of them they'll bust through crud and stay stable at any speed. I've also been pleasantly surprised at how they turn in tight trees - don't get me wrong, they won't pivot as quickly as your 88 underfoot noodles, but for a ski this heavy with a lot of camber, they're much more versatile than I expected. The boys at Moment really hit this one out of the park!
I always ski a lot of rocker skis, so I was a bit hesitant about picking up a stiff cambered ski. With the addition of extra early rise in the front these things are actually pleasant to turn. If you actually tell the skis what to do they will listen, but you have to do it. The skis are really good at being stable at high speeds as well. I feel super confident on them and these are now my daily driver. I have only ski them in a few inches of fresh but they floated well, and considering how stiff the ski is it's actually a fairly playful ski. In the words of Stumpy from the movie Out Cold, just get up in it and love it strong.
