Governor receives the Blister Gear Review Recommended award. December 01 2015
Bottom Line / Who’s It For?
The Moment Governor is a substantial, directional ski with a real tail that is still quite easy to ski. It is quick and substantial, which is a fairly rare combination. Actually, I can’t think of another ski that marries these two attributes—quickness and stability—as well as the Governor.
If you’re looking for something that can handle deep pow at the top of the mountain, and will also lay down trenches on the groomers back to the lift, then the Governor deserves your vote.
If you wish that the Rossignol Squad 7 or DPS Wailer 112RPC came in a longer length, then I would definitely encourage you to check out the 196cm Governor.
And if you like predictable, directional skis with tapered tips and powerful tails that hold up well in resort conditions, then I haven’t skied anything yet that I would put in front of the Governor.
