All of our skis come with a stamp printed on the left sidewall of each ski. The large center triangle is the factory recommended mount point. It's the location we found skied best during the development of the skis. If you move the mount point forward the ski will become more turny. If you move the mount point back the ski will become more sluggish. The alternate triangles on the sidewall stamp are printed in 1cm increments.
We recommend a 3.6x9mm mounting bit for most skis, skis with metal (Commander Series) require a 4.1x9mm and an ample amount of waterproof glue in the holes.
We ship all of our skis with a 1-degree base edge and 1-degree side edge bevel and ceramic polish. We also de-tune the tip and tails so your skis will perform great right out of the packaging.
We wax then hot box all of our skis for 3 hours at 110 degrees F. This allows the skis to have a great wax right out of the package. Its a great universal wax that works great in all conditions. That being said, more wax on a fresh pair of bases never hurt.
YOUR LIFE IS AT RISK. The backcountry is DEADLY. A beacon, shovel and probe are REQUIRED for safe backcountry travel. DO NOT leave home without them and a proper understanding of their use.
