Just got back from an incredible Chile Andes Ski trip yesterday Sept 15 2026. 2nd review from this trip as I took 2 pair Moment Skis with me.
For my deeper powder day (>8 inches), side country skinning, and peak bagging ski, the DWT 112 was the sauce! Paired with the Moment Voyager XV bindings that plugged into the Tecnica Cochise 130 hybrid boots, this set up was a dream. So light yet so capable! We slayed some incredible backcountry guided lines in La Parva and Nevados de Chillan. This ski skinned phenomenally and the risers on the Voyagers made the skin track an efficient operation.
Then, when we went down, the ski ripped and didn't feel like a touring setup! You hear that! It didn't feel like a touring set up! It just felt right! I could power down turns as aggressively as I saw fit! For prime conditions, I let them rip down the fall line, did big turns, did little wiggle turns, traversed over to find a better line, and even got a little air in them.
In tougher wind-board conditions, they remained predictable as I laid wider & slower turns. I went close to the rock walls on each side coming down the choke of a La Parva Peak line. So much fun even in non ideal conditions.
In the upper bowl of La Parva Peak with prime winter snow, they slayed! Reviewing my video footage, I've enjoyed seeing them really dominate in the upper bowl and then transition to a more composed and predictable friend when things got a little funky as we went lower in elevation.
No regrets in my 2 ski quiver selection for this once in a lifetime Chile trip. I hope to return to Chile someday. But if I never make it back, I'm completely happy and satisfied with the sliding experiences on my Moments. Color me fulfilled and without wanting more from my travel quiver.
The DW 104 and DWT112 offered a perfect 1-2 punch.

I’m a Coloradan who spends most winters bouncing between home, the San Juans and the Tetons. A crusher friend from California (who literally owns five pairs of Moment skis) kept telling me about Triple Camber and why I needed to try the Deathwish series. After logging time on other brands like DPS and Black Crows, my search finally led me here. I’m not going anywhere else — these skis are sick.
I picked the 190 cm length because Moment warns that the Deathwish’s deep rocker and progressive mount make it ski shorter . At –6 cm from center, the mount point feels balanced and surfy, which works well for my 6’ 5″, 205‑lb frame.
If your goal is to ski powder but you know you’ll run into crud, chop or variable snow along the way, this is the ski. It planes up and slashes around with surprising agility for its 112‑mm waist . The Triple Camber profile provides bottomless suspension and reassuring edge hold , so when the snow gets cut up or crusty it still holds on and doesn’t get tossed around . Even after days of storm skiing in the Tetons, I’m still grinning.
Built for everything the mountain throws at you
Rocker at both ends plus low camber underfoot and micro‑camber sections mean you can surf the deep stuff and then carve hardpack like you’re on a narrower ski . The poplar/beech core, ABS sidewalls and carbon‑fiber laminate give it a rare mix of liveliness and dampness . It’s playful and stable —the best of both worlds. And unlike the 104‑mm Deathwish, the 112 is actually better in firm, crappy snow while still thriving on pow days .
My verdict
After trying so many skis over the years, I feel like I’ve found my home with Moment. I spend as much time as possible in the Tetons, and every time I click into the Deathwish 112 I know I can trust it. Whether I’m charging blower pow or navigating variable snow, it’s lively, forgiving and ready to go fast when I am . If you’re chasing soft turns but refuse to let crud ruin your day, get the Deathwish 112 — it’s a game‑changer.

Excellent service, from order to delivery and including the couple chats we've had in between. Careful! The recommended bindings tend to fit the skis (108mm brakes for a 112mm ski is fine) but not the crampons which I got in 108mm as recommended while not paying attention and which obviously do not fit a 112mm ski. Took them for a spin one evening and the touring capabitlities are very good for such a long and wide ski. Downhill was a blast, although it take a bit of time to get used to the dual radius setup. All-in-all a great ski whichI can already tell will do marvels in deep pow.

Bottom line: awesome all around relatively lightweight touring ski. Great in soft snow and holds an edge well in firm conditions.184cm mounted on the line with ATK Evo Raider 13. I'm 5'9" 175lbs; expert skier in my early 50s - not hucking stuff or skiing super spicy lines anymore (but the skis could). Got these as a mid-winter touring ski and they were the only ski I took for a 10-day Japan trip (50/50 resort and touring). So far I have 15+ days on them in a wide range of conditions.Before Japan, I skied a few days of hardpack in bounds to learn the skis - a quick study! While I wouldn't want these as my only inbounds ski I was surprised how composed they are in fast/firm conditions. A little chatter at speed on hardpack, but able hold an edge well even on near-ice - pretty cool for a wide, light, rockered platform. But easy to release anytime to scrub speed, even on weird, grippy, skied-out Cascade concrete. Definitely punch above their weight in firm snow.In soft snow - everything from PNW mank to cold deep Japow - I've found them to be predictable and forgiving, snappy and quick, able to scrub speed at will, and still stable at higher speeds. Really good in soft crud…they get thrown around a little, but definitely enough ski to stay in control and keep it fun - again, surprising to me given their weight.In summary - they do everything well, are super fun to ski, and disappear going uphill. You could certainly find a better ski for any one condition/purpose, but I've never had a single ski that does so many things so well, especially as a do-everything touring ski.

I was jealous of all my tall (male) friends' powder skis, but the market for skis greater than 110mm in width for us shorter folks (women) is a bit slim. I took a gamble on the Deathwish 112 in 174cm, and it's been an absolute blast! I came from a set of Backland 102s that I constantly felt backseat in, and the Deathwishes have been a total game changer. Not only are these skis a dream to pop around on in deep pow days (shorter people get more face shots!), I feel that I can really drive the skis in an aggressive, inbounds-skiing style such that I feel much more confident in scratchy/crusty/choppy conditions.Loved them so much I bought a set of the standard Deathwishes to ski on in the resort!For reference I am 5'5" and 125lbs. Luckily with the generous helping of tip and tail rocker, the Deathwishes do ski a little short for the length.

Life is too short for boring skis. I bought these as pow skis and at this point I take them out pretty much every day that it isn't full on technical ski mountaineering. They are light enough to go on proper missions and substantial enough to rip big turns on open faces in the backcountry. Moment hits the sweet spot on weight and stiffness in these skis where unless you don't have to hold yourself back unless you're on really beat up snow. Obviously pow is a blast, but they also are supportable on corn and really hold an edge when you can bend the ski. Most importantly they make zipper crusts and rained on, heavy PNW "edgeable pow" pretty fun which matters when you're a sicko who goes out in crummy ski conditions a lot. The deep tail splay can be kind of annoying on the skintrack sometimes and hampers some anchoring and steep ski techniques, but it is also a big part of why I like the ski on the down, especially in bad snow. I got them in the 190cm size for maximum floatation and sometimes think if I got the 184s I'd like them even more and in more places, but I guess that just means I would probably love the DWT 104s in that size.

Coming from skis that are more directional I was concerned about the -5 mount point on these but I immediately felt very comfortable on these skis. I would say these are intuitive, damp and stable skis but very playful as well allowing pivoting and surfy turns but can lay on rail as well. They hold edge very well on a firm skin track for 112. They do not punish for a loss of technique or falling into the back seat like other skis especially at the end of a long tour day when fatigue sets in. This is my second pair of moments, have the countatch as well, they have both been very easy to get along with and tons of fun!

I have a pretty massive touring quiver but have to say since getting on the Deathwish Tour 112 in a 179cm my other skis have been gathering dust. I have skied in a variety of conditions from deep powder to absolute garbage spring conditions (slop to refrozen slop) and they continue to impress every time!! What Moment has accomplished is creating a ski that has true versatility. I love a ski that is drifty and loose feeling when needed (powder and tight trees) while still having that grip and stability that increase confidence when skiing faster and through challenging conditions. What is also shocking is the weight for a ski that is 112 under foot I never hesitate taking them on big days as they are a pleasure to climb on. Great job Moment you have created a truly incredible touring ski!!!!!

I have skied the 2021 non-tour Deathwishes for a couple seasons now and love them in essentially all conditions. I wanted a touring setup that mimicked that performance as much as possible, and the DW Tour + Voyager Evos are it. I have only put one day on them so far, but they immediately felt familiar but so much lighter. Mission accomplished. They tour great, they feel great on the downhill, even in awful early season conditions. Can't wait to get em on some good snow.

I have been riding the Normal Deathwish inbounds for the last few seasons. It quickly turned into my favorite ski. For a few seasons I have been ogling the ogling the tour version. Well, now I’m kicking myself for not doing this sooner. These skis are so much fun. They feel exactly like my inbounds skis. They have been a ton of fun in the spring conditions this year and I’m already incredibly excited to get them out next season. I paired these with the Moment Voyagers and I can’t imagine a better pairing. To stable and confidence inspiring! Get them. Just do it! Don’t wait!

Only problem with the DWTs is they make me think about all the backcountry days in the past decade that would have been more fun if I’d bought these sooner. Size up if you’re between sizes. Super sexy with Voyagers and the free mount and beer at the factory makes the whole setup extra delicious.

I was really excited about these skis based on other reviews. I got to ride them last week in a wide variety of conditions- from deep, heavy windblown backcountry powder, to some almost icy high-speed groomers, and everything in between, over the course of six days in Colorado.I feel like the skis are trying to do everything well, but not succeeding at doing any one thing with any degree of excellence. The flex profile is great, but the lack of real sidecut makes them lackluster on groomers, and the lack of front shovel/rocker makes them a bit of a liability in deep, windblown or heavy powder. They were indeed excellent for the in between stuff, but I'm definitely disappointed in a backcountry ski that doesn't stay on the surface very well. And it's a PIA to have to also take a pair of groomer skis for trips where I'm mixing in resort and backcountry riding. I wish they would make a version of this ski with more aggressive rocker in the front, and more aggressive sidecut. Then it would truly be a quiver killer/Jack of all trades.

First off, I ordered the Deathwish Tour, bindings and skins on a Tuesday. By Friday I had a box with my shiny new gear that reaffirmed my positive customer experience to that point. I used the paper template to mount my voyager bindings (which worked well). I then snuck off to try them at the local hill in firm and choppy conditions. By the time I got to the bottom of my first run I felt completely at home on these skis and felt like all i had to do was think about where I wanted to go and they did it. Such an easy board to ski. The edge to edge transition is lighting fast for a ski 112 under-foot. With the triple camber I could fully lock an edge on icy groomers and break loose to shift directions just as easily as i could on my fully rockered skis. So versatile!! A couple days later I took them into the mountains for a tour. As an avalanche forecaster I am out 2-3 days per week in all conditions and I need a ski that can handle it all. The run started as breakable wind buff then transitioned to dense pow in which they performed flawlessly. I've been on alot of skis over the years, and due to the variety of conditions I experience every day I am always in search of the ski that can do it all. The Deathwish has ended my search. I am 5'10" and 170lb's. I would call myself a middle-aged man that used to charge, maybe not so much now, but I try! I spend most of my time in timber and tight terrain so I went with the 179cm length and I am stoked on it. I think the 184 would have worked just as well and would opt for that if you spend more time in open terrain with room to run. Lastly, the Voyager bindings are top notch and highly recommended, the downhill performance is next level for the weight and my dynafit crampons fit right into em. Thanks MOMENT for making a rad ski and binder!!

These things really charge, especially for touring skis. I'm impressed with their climbing ability with triple camber, but at their light weight, they feel like a resort ski on the down, which is really impressive. They have been great out in the backcountry the first two weeks i've had them and they are an awesome addition to the quiver!
