High maneuverability and high stability - the playful skier's powerhouse.

This reserve ski is available in limited quantities.

There is no guarantee we will restock this ski when it sells out.

The phrase “full rocker” might call up memories of middle-aged tourists learning how to ski powder and new-schoolers in XXXL cargo pants doing switch pillow drops. And while that is definitely a thing that happened, it’s time to wipe the slate clean and start over.

The Meridian is here to prove that what you remember is only a fraction of what full rocker can really do. By eliminating the soft midsection and narrow mindset of those proto-era designs, what you get is a ski that’s ready to charge the whole mountain and pay cash for the damage: stiff from tip to tail, with a long, low-rise rocker profile that rips through chop and carves firm snow without a hint of chatter or tip flap.

At the same time, all of the pivoting, smearing, and surfing skills that made full rocker popular back in the ‘00s are still on offer, making the Meridian a weird and wonderful contradiction that can ski literally anything, anytime. It’s an oxymoron that has attracted a dedicated and diverse following of big-mountain experts, freestyle freakshows, and every skier type in between.

This is full rocker at its full potential, and it has a posse. Join up or stay asleep.

      • This is a general guideline and is only a basic suggestion of the proper size. Where you ski, how you ski, and what skis you've ridden in the past should be taken into consideration.
      • The Meridian is a stiff, fully rockered all mountain ski. This means it will maneuver easily while maintaining stability at speeds, don't be afraid to size up.
      • If you are still on the fence and ski confidently and aggressively size up. If you ski more conservatively or timidly size down.
      • Beginner assumes a basic understanding of and ability to ski. For those who have never skied or cannot ski down runs without falling we recommend renting/demoing to start.
If you are unsure, have questions, or feel your recommended size is incorrect, please chat, call or email us. We are happy to discuss specific sizing based on your build, skiing style, and existing quiver / past skis.

    Full Rocker

    ingredients

Full length, knot free, vertically laminated in house. Our poplar / ash core provides a unique blend of liveliness and outstanding dampening, allowing for playful platforms that charge hard.

Extruded sidewalls constructed of modified Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene (ABS) provide stiffness, dampening, and durability, which allow for more impact resistance and easier repairs that stay put so you can bring the abuse year after year, season after season.

A custom blend of triaxial fiberglass and carbon fiber that provides torsional rigidity along with longitudinal pop and composure at speed.

We use a textured nylon topsheet material enhanced with sublimated graphics‒a non-toxic and eco-friendly alternative to silkscreen. We chose this topsheet material to ensure optimal durability and impact resistance while maintaining crisp and bright graphics.

Skis are tools not treasures and that means they need to take a beating which is why we use carbon infused sintered UHMWPE (Ultra High Molecular Weight PolyEthylene). Harder, faster and with better wax absorption and retention than extruded bases this is the industry leader for performance and longevity.

Rubberized VDS foil is placed at strategic locations throughout the construction to increase bond strength and provide vibration damping for more stability and increased control.

There are only a handful of edge manufacturers in the world. We go straight to the source for the best of the best. We use only 2.2mm Rockwell 48 hardened steel edges. Heat treated additionally in house to ensure you get nothing but the absolute most out of your skis.

Can you have too much fun?

I've not skied anything like these. After about 25 days on them I'm not often picking another ski to ride unless it's quite icy, crunchy, or overly firm. These shine and respond well to a full throttle approach and I've not found them kind to me when I tucker out and get a bit lazy. If you've seen or felt how a surf turn can get the fins free and start a slash slide slash sort of movement - these get loose like that. Any feature that gives a wavelike profile is just ripe for the type of turns I really thought only a snowboard or surfboard could bash. They have helped me attempt a bit of improvisation in riding that I've been seeking for quite a while. On anything a bit soft I feel like I grow snake hips. I also have to remind myself that I'm getting a bit on in age and really ought not go the speeds they are so stable and comfortable doing. They're so good in chop, fresh, slush and chunder.

    Reverse camber with Slayer attitude

My favorite Moment ski. Reverse camber but not soft. Stiff and heavy as it should be. Destroys chop while singing Whitney. Ridiculous charging fun in any remotely soft snow. Best for playful aggressive skiers. Reverse camber skis are funny - there is no suspension from the camber and so can be sketchy and jarring on ice or icy crud. But they can carve incredibly laid over and they pivot and drift like a dream. They do great in bad snow as long as it’s not rock hard. Way more mass and hard to deflect than a Deathwish but way more pivoty and loose at same time. Perfect in a lineup with a Commander for hardback and crud and a powder ski - call up Moment to discuss which one, they are chatty.

Nimble af Bases flat - charge on edge

Poor college student, but scored a very lightly used pair back at the end of December. Have skied the skis in a range of conditions and climates including 18 inches of high density pow at revelstoke, waist deep blower at Jackson, and good chalk and spring conditions at Lake Louise. The magic sauce of these skis lies in how maneuverable they are when you ski them bases flat, in conjunction with their ability to absolutely charge fall line in even somewhat soft snow when you lay them over on edge. They have no speed limit in soft ish conditions, and are so confidence inspiring due to how easy it is to put them sideways to slash a pile of fresh, or just compose yourself ahead of terrain obstacles. Only noticed the lack of suspension on harder landings off of drops (literally twice), and think their weight ~2100 grams combined with their stiffness helps to mitigate the downsides associated with lacking camber. While mentioning this, I should note that despite hand flexing really stiff, I wouldn’t say they felt stiff while skiing, just perfectly supportive while still feeling playful for jumps and slashing around. These skis are definitely meant for soft ish conditions where there has at least been some snow in the past week, otherwise the lack of suspension will be more apparent in icy variable etc.
