    Chipotle Banana

Spicy and smooth - the big gun for deep day fun.

This reserve ski is available in limited quantities.

There is no guarantee we will restock this ski when it sells out.

The special recipe for the Chipotle Banana is equal parts surfy fun and high-octane insanity, and it has enough spice to leave your mouth burning for days on end. Built by Carston Oliver for Carston Oliver, the Banana features Radius Rocker and an oversized 122mm waist that gives it freakish float and pivot-on-a-dime handling in powder. And in fact, it’s an easy ski for anyone to ski when the conditions are good.

But if you’re thinking, “big soft pow noodle,” think again—the grandfather of the Meridian is as tough as a coffin nail and twice as stiff, and it was made for getting loose, fast, and loud. So, while you can take the Chipotle Banana as slow and easy as you please, you won’t find out what it can really do until you push it to the limit. And we’re willing to bet you’ll find your own before that.

      • This is a general guideline and is only a basic suggestion of the proper size. Where you ski, how you ski, and what skis you've ridden in the past should be taken into consideration.
      • The Chipotle Banana is a stiff, fully rockered powder ski. This means it will maneuver easily while maintaining stability at speeds, don't be afraid to size up.
      • If you are still on the fence and ski confidently and aggressively size up. If you ski more conservatively or timidly size down.
      • Beginner assumes a basic understanding of and ability to ski. For those who have never skied or cannot ski down runs without falling we recommend renting/demoing to start.
If you are unsure, have questions, or feel your recommended size is incorrect, please chat, call or email us. We are happy to discuss specific sizing based on your build, skiing style, and existing quiver / past skis.

    Full Rocker

    ingredients

Full length, knot free, vertically laminated in house. Our poplar / ash core provides a unique blend of liveliness and outstanding dampening, allowing for playful platforms that charge hard.

Extruded sidewalls constructed of modified Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene (ABS) provide stiffness, dampening, and durability, which allow for more impact resistance and easier repairs that stay put so you can bring the abuse year after year, season after season.

A custom blend of triaxial fiberglass and carbon fiber that provides torsional rigidity along with longitudinal pop and composure at speed.

We use a textured nylon topsheet material enhanced with sublimated graphics‒a non-toxic and eco-friendly alternative to silkscreen. We chose this topsheet material to ensure optimal durability and impact resistance while maintaining crisp and bright graphics.

Skis are tools not treasures and that means they need to take a beating which is why we use sintered UHMWPE (Ultra High Molecular Weight PolyEthylene). Harder, faster and with better wax absorption and retention than extruded bases this is the industry leader for performance and longevity.

Rubberized VDS foil is placed at strategic locations throughout the construction to increase bond strength and provide vibration damping for more stability and increased control.

There are only a handful of edge manufacturers in the world. We go straight to the source for the best of the best. We use only 2.2mm Rockwell 48 hardened steel edges. Heat treated additionally in house to ensure you get nothing but the absolute most out of your skis.

I have over 30 years in the industry and these totally changed my mind on full rocker skis. I've demo'd quiet a few other brands and nothing comes close to the CB's. With a 122mm underfoot there is float for days! That nice stiff, yet snappy core makes my 193's feel like a 150 in the trees and boulder field pillows. The full rocker is mild, and actually feels more like flat underfoot with serious pop, very reminiscent of a cambered ski with early rise tip and tail BUT the CB's are still head and shoulders above any of those in any depth of freshies. Packed snow, either piste or moguls are not it's forté, yet still excels without that heinous "tip flop" you see from lesser skis. A 33m radius ski is a serious ski meant for those that Full Send every run and this ski doesn't disappoint. Turning push piles into poppy little playground accessories is a joy. With a very silly and amazing top sheet, this is truly an amazing ski for serious skiers that ski serious terrain (and the runs to get you there).Every second I'm on them they wisper "just send it". . . . . . . .

    I’m finally cool.

I bought the Chipotle Banana’s after searching for a fun pow ski that wants to charge hard and not chatter in the chunder (a frequent issue for me entering my 30’s and coming to terms with the fact that beer is in fact not a salad and I do need to stretch my knees before skiing). Before I got a single turn in I got no less than four complements on my skis in the parking lot and lift line. I’d finally made it. A one way shot to popularity at my local mountain. All that aside these might be the best ski I’ve ever had. It turns on a dime, handles deep powder, groomers, chop like it doesn’t even exist, and everything else I’ve thrown at them so far. Super excited to get them out in a seriously deep day soon and unleash them to their full potential. 10/10 if anything but them to get told how cool your skis are leaning against the rack at the bar.
