  • Frankenski

Jibbin', pressin' and stompin' everything in sight - the park slayer.

Born in the lab and raised on park laps, the Frankenski is everything a park ski should be: soft, simple, and stupid fun. Built around a symmetrical shape and center mount for full-send switch takeoffs and landings, it’s just as happy locked into rails as it is launching off spring slush booters. It’s not trying to be your all-mountain quiver killer — it’s here to destroy terrain parks and chew bubblegum…and it’s all out of bubblegum.

      • This is a general guideline and is only a basic suggestion of the proper size. Where you ski, how you ski, and what skis you've ridden in the past should be taken into consideration.
      • The Frankenski incorporates deep rocker lines, a centered mount point and symmetrical dimensions. This means it skis shorter than many other skis, don't be afraid to size up.
      • If you are still on the fence and ski confidently and aggressively size up. If you ski more conservatively or timidly size down.
      • Beginner assumes a basic understanding of and ability to ski. For those who have never skied or cannot ski down runs without falling we recommend renting/demoing to start.
If you are unsure, have questions, or feel your recommended size is incorrect, please chat, call or email us. We are happy to discuss specific sizing based on your build, skiing style, and existing quiver / past skis.

    ingredients

Our full bamboo core provides dampness, extra pop and a longer flex profile for more playful riding and more composure when you don’t quite put it to bolts.

Extruded sidewalls constructed of modified Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene (ABS) provide stiffness, dampening, and durability, which allow for more impact resistance and easier repairs that stay put so you can bring the abuse year after year, season after season.

A custom blend of triaxial fiberglass and carbon fiber for torsional rigidity and longitudinal pop, with additional lightweight glass and vibration dampening rubber for hard landings and repeated impacts.

We use a textured nylon topsheet material enhanced with sublimated graphics‒a non-toxic and eco-friendly alternative to silkscreen. We chose this topsheet material to ensure optimal durability and impact resistance while maintaining crisp and bright graphics.

Skis are tools not treasures and that means they need to take a beating which is why we use carbon infused sintered UHMWPE (Ultra High Molecular Weight PolyEthylene). Harder, faster and with better wax absorption and retention than extruded bases this is the industry leader for performance and longevity.

Rubberized VDS foil is placed at strategic locations throughout the construction to increase bond strength and provide vibration damping for more stability and increased control.

There are only a handful of edge manufacturers in the world. We go straight to the source for the best of the best. We use only 2.2mm Rockwell 48 hardened steel edges. Heat treated additionally in house to ensure you get nothing but the absolute most out of your skis.

    Exceeded my expectations

I was looking for a new park ski coming from soft-as-a-noodle Line Blends, and eventually landed on the Frankenski. I ski in Tahoe and tend to use my park ski also as my early/late season/low tide condition ski, so was looking for something that could hang in the park and still rip around the mountain. Even though I loved my Line Blends in the park, they had less than zero edge from all the rail abuse, and were basically dangerous to ski on anything slightly icy - so the triple camber on the Frankenski was super appealing, though I was concerned that it would be too difficult to slide/spin/mess around on in the park. Luckily, my fears were wrong, and the Frankenski has been super fun to ski. Definitely a much different feeling to my Line Blends because of the triple camber, the Frankenski has crazy edge hold and feels super grounded, and makes me feel like a racer outside the park (even with a park detune). But when I wanted to jib around the park or rest of mountain, it was super easy to play around on slide/spin/butter/do whatever - basically, no issues at all with releasing the triple camber and still performing like a regular cambered ski. And since the ski is stiffer and poppier than the Blends I was on, it actually makes me feel comfortable hitting jumps for once.Overall - definitely took a little bit to get used to the triple camber, but once I did, the ski was super fun in and out of the park and has so far exceeded all my expectations. And with being located near Reno, I'm able to take advantage of the free shop services at the Moment factory, which makes the ski an even better deal. 10/10 would buy again.

What a park ski should be

Man, these things are so fun. I’ve taken my biggest jumps, 30+ foot rails, and all of the Meltdown jumps at Brighton with these by side. Poppy, predictable flex, great shock absorption(especially paired with Marker Jesters), just a killer park setup that’ll make for fun around the entire mountain.

    Frankenski's Monster

The ski is a trip. A good trip. One with lots of unicorns, which this ski is. The feeling I get on this ski is that I could almost jump into a race course and bash gates in between park laps with how well the triple camber holds on, and yet, I can break it free and swivel around with ease. The skis do have a warble at speeds, but if I compared it to anything it would be an AWD car with a spoiler, the skis just hold on.
