The Countach 98 is our go-to low tide machine — precise, aggressive, and a hell of a lot more fun than it has any right to be. Born from a love affair between freestyle and freeride, it grips hard, hits fast, and stays planted no matter how chaotic the terrain gets. A progressive shape for directional diehards, the Countach 98 is quick to pivot and slash but ready for heavy edge pressure when it’s time to lay down some trenches. With its Euro beech core, dual radius sidecut, and a backbone that’ll keep you on your feet, the Countach 98 is here for you — whether you're lacing windbuff, slashing techy chutes, or just bombin’ groomers on a Tuesday.

While the brake width might be smaller or larger than the waist of the ski, the bindings suggested here are guaranteed to fit the ski.
Typically, bindings can fit skis that have widths of 7 to 9 mm smaller or larger than the listed brake size, depending on the binding model.
We recommend the Look Pivot with a brake width of 95 mm for the Wildcat 101, even though the Wildcat’s waist width is 6 mm wider than the brake width of the Look Pivot.
On the other hand, we recommend the Look Pivot with a brake width of 115 mm for the Countach 110, even though the Countach’s waist width is 5 mm slimmer than the brake width of the Look Pivot.
We’ve carefully curated these recommended bindings for every ski we make, but you can always select another option - see all bindings.
And of course, if you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to chat with us on the website or send us a message.

Rocker at the tip, camber underfoot, and an exaggerated tail rise provides a directional feel while maintaining the ability to slash and slide.
Full length, knot free, vertically laminated in house. Strong, damp and burly, European beech provides the pinnacle of composure and calmness at the highest speeds in the most challenging conditions.
Extruded sidewalls constructed of modified Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene (ABS) provide stiffness, dampening, and durability, which allow for more impact resistance and easier repairs that stay put so you can bring the abuse year after year, season after season.
A custom blend of triaxial fiberglass and carbon fiber that provides torsional rigidity along with longitudinal pop and composure at speed.
We use a textured nylon topsheet material enhanced with sublimated graphics‒a non-toxic and eco-friendly alternative to silkscreen. We chose this topsheet material to ensure optimal durability and impact resistance while maintaining crisp and bright graphics.
Skis are tools not treasures and that means they need to take a beating which is why we use recycled, carbon infused sintered UHMWPE (Ultra High Molecular Weight PolyEthylene). Harder, faster and with better wax absorption and retention than extruded bases this is the industry leader for performance and longevity.
Rubberized VDS foil is placed at strategic locations throughout the construction to increase bond strength and provide vibration damping for more stability and increased control.
There are only a handful of edge manufacturers in the world. We go straight to the source for the best of the best. We use only 2.2mm Rockwell 48 hardened steel edges. Heat treated additionally in house to ensure you get nothing but the absolute most out of your skis.
Carve great, look great and now the coolest kid on mountain with my fellow Ski Patrol friends 🤗
Context matters.
Tahoe this season delivered one solid storm and then immediately pivoted to spring in January, Springuary. Low tide. Thin coverage. Firm mornings. Variable afternoons. The kind of winter where ski choice actually matters, and powder skis mostly just collect dust.
That’s exactly why I bought the Countach 98.
I wanted a ski that handles what the mountain actually looks like most days: firm groomers, mixed spring snow, scraped sections, and just enough coverage to keep you honest. The Countach is built for that reality, and it shows from the first run.
According to the size chart, as an intermediate skier, I should have gone with the 176.
I went 182.
Because why the efff not.
I’m 41, second real season skiing, strong legs, and fully committed to progressing. The longer length was the right call. The 182 feels planted, stable, and confidence-inspiring at speed without feeling unwieldy. If you’re willing to drive the ski and stay engaged, it rewards you immediately.
Mounted with Pivot 15s at the Moment Ski Shop, the setup feels rock solid. Calm under pressure. Precise edge to edge. No nervousness, no surprises—just clean feedback and control.
Where this ski really shines is in low-tide Tahoe conditions:
• Excellent edge hold on firm snow
• Composed in variable spring chop
• Stable at speed without feeling dead
• Predictable when coverage is thin and lines matter
It’s the kind of ski that makes you ski more deliberately. Better line choice. Cleaner turns. Less reacting, more skiing. I’ve felt noticeable progression on it already, not just in confidence, but in actual technique.
And maybe that’s the biggest compliment: this ski doesn’t just let you get away with things, it encourages you to ski right.
Bottom line: the Countach 98 is a precision tool for real-world conditions. If your season looks anything like Tahoe does this year—firm, fast, and unforgiving—this ski absolutely delivers.
Size up if you’ve got the legs.
Stay forward.
Ski fast.
No regrets.
Unreal skis. The harder I push the better they respond!! Very pleased w my upgrade.
