DescriptionThe Commander 98 is here to fill your void.
Not that void.
We mean the void that can only be filled with velocity—the kind that first drains your adrenal gland, then sends you back out on the street to sell your body for more. And with a full aspen/ash core sandwiched between two sheets of top-grade Austrian Titanal, there’s no question this ski can handle as much speed as you can. Get caught in the trees, and you’ll understand why we gave the Commander a versatile, dual-radius sidecut—it lets this would-be straightline machine slash and twist out of almost any situation. But be warned: when it comes to getting your passholder privileges back, that’s on you.

Rocker at the tip, camber underfoot, and a slight bit of tail rise gives the ski a directional feel while maintaining the ability to slash and slide.
ASPEN/ASH WOOD COREFull length, knot free, in house laminated wood core gives this ski its unique blend of liveliness and dampening. All wood sourced in the USA.
UHMW SIDEWALLThe strongest and most durable sidewall material on the market ensures you have the best edge hold available while ripping the piste.
METAL LAYUPTwo sheets of Titanal added to our traditional layup provides a damp and quiet ride that doesn't have a speed limit.
4001 DURASURF BASEHands down the most durable base on the market. Dont worry about those snow snakes.
2.2 EURO EDGEThere are only handful of edge manufacturers in the world. We go straight to the source in Europe to offer the best edge possible. We do additional heat treating and bonding prep in house to make sure your edge stays sharper, lasts longer and can handle a beating.
These skis deliver as promised.
I was waffling back and forth for some time trying to decide which ski to purchase this season and finally decided to head into Moment and get some advice. The Moment team let me compare the skis that I was contemplating while giving me expert insights and explaining the differences between them all. In the end, I wanted to purchase a ski that would handle at speeds but still be playful enough to charge into the crud and trees. They are light and responsive underfoot and are easy to rail. They handle beautifully at speed and I love to hang a few long carved turns on the groomed then pop into some broken up powder to keep the adrenaline pumping. I thoroughly love these skis and would recommend them to anyone who wants to be able to push themselves hard every day, not just on a handful of powder days.
